Smith Equipment Manufacturing was founded by Elmer Smith as Smith Inventions in 1916.
Located in a garage in Minneapolis, it was primarily a design and manufacturing operation building a line of oxy-acetylene welding and cutting equipment.
Over the years, Mr. Smith added other products and businesses but, for the most part, oxy-fuel gas apparatus was the primary product that stood die test of time.

Smith is owned now by ITW group in USA , manufacturing different types of cutting sets for different types of industries, especially in the welding sectors.
Smith as of its sister company Miller, since established, it had followed the strategy in putting its best technology and quality for all its product to serve its customers to ultimate.
Smith is manufacturing as well the best gas regulators for different gases along with different types of cutting/welding tips around.
